Wednesday Evening: Care Kits, Back Packs, and a Potuck

Hope assembled on Wednesday evening personal care kits and backpacks at the church prior to our “Dog Days of Summer” potluck. The 50 care kits were packed to specific needs for His Place Ministries and Consulate Nursing Home including 15 homeless women's kits which were placed in gently used purses. The 14 backpacks were packed specifically for Sherwood Elementary School. The potluck had an “American” theme with red, white, and blue décor, and a classic cook-out menu with hotdogs, potato salad, and apple pie. The fun evening ended with a game of beanbag toss.
