Friday: Cleaning and Sightseeing
It was a good relief that today we could take it easy and after roughly 30 minutes of cleaning we got to go to the WWII museum, a cemetery, and the the French Quarter for a full day of spending money and inhaling smoke fumes. At the museum, we watched “Beyond All Boundaries,” a 4D documentary about WWII. After, we briefly explored the rest of the exhibits anxious to get to the French Quarter. Before the French Quarter, we went to a cemetery known for having th remains of the Voodoo Queen. At the French Quarter, we had a great time exploring various shops getting a taste of the history and touristy life on New Orleans. All the youth have different stories about their adventures of the French Quarter, but I would like to share mine. Towards the end of our day, after dinner at the Acme Oyster House, we went into a hot sauce & spice store.
