Monday: KIPP Academy

The group entered New Orleans today. They took a quick tour of the Camp Restore and then went to their first work site, a school and worked to help prepare for the upcoming year. The work helped reduce the work waiting for teachers and administration, so they could focus on the planning when they arrive, in the first week of July. After the work was done, they returned to Camp Restore and enjoyed a dinner of Red Beans & Rice, French Bread, and Bananna pudding. After dinner, they went to their rooms and did a devotion as a group.
